Bloons Tower Defense 4 Walkthrough
Bloons Tower Defense 4 may be one of the best tower defense games you can find online - it has a litany of different maps to play with, different difficulty settings, and sixteen different towers and traps to choose from. If you've never heard of Bloons Tower Defense before, or any other previous games in the series, you'll find that this is the one worth playing, and that you won't want to put it down.
To start playing, you'll have to select one of the six maps available. They increase in difficulty, so if it's your first time playing a tower defense game, it's a good idea to choose a beginner map. Next, you'll want to choose a difficulty setting - again, if you're new to the genre, choosing easy is probably a good idea.
There are two other modes you can select, though - Sandbox mode and Apocalypse mode. In sandbox mode, you'll be able to play the game how you want, with as much money and lives as you need. Sandbox mode is unlocked when you reach rank 26, which can be acquired by playing through the game. In apocalypse mode, you'll simply play until you run out of lives. You need to reach rank 31 to play apocalypse mode.
When you start playing, you'll notice that you're only given the first tower to build - the dart thrower. While it's the cheapest tower, it can get the job done, and after every succeeding round, another tower will be unlocked, and you'll be able to fortify and upgrade your defenses accordingly. In past Bloons Tower Defense games, all towers were given to you at the start of the game, but in Bloons Tower Defense 4, you'll have to work to get them.
Keeping up with enemy bloons isn't hard - at first. You'll notice that red bloons pop very easily, and, if anything, provide little challenge. Next come blue bloons, and inside each and every one of these is a red bloon. As you work your way through wave after wave of bloons, you'll end up seeing green and yellow bloons - which can contain 3-4 bloons each. This makes for quite the challenge, and if you're not prepared to deal with it, you can quickly looks. By spreading out your defenses, you can avoid this, but only if you keep up in between every round.
