Corporate Wars Walkthrough
Corporate Wars is a tower defense game taking place in a futuristic setting. This TD game features detailed graphics, various towers to deploy, and a storyline that gives meaning to the action.
For those of you interested in the story, Corporate Wars places you in command of the defenses of a human colony on a newly-discovered world. I am sure that most of you are more interested in gameplay than storyline, however. In terms of gameplay, Corporate Wars plays like any other tower defense game. Build towers along the side of the road to destroy enemies before they reach your base. If too many enemies slip past your defenses, your base will be destroyed and you will lose the game. When all waves of enemies are defeated, you will advance to the next level. Your progress is automatically saved, so you do not have to complete the entire game in one session.
If you have played other tower defense games, then Corporate Wars should be a breeze for you. If you still find the game difficult, I will provide a few general tips that should help you out. At the beginning of each level, your resources will be limited so you will have to place turrets where they will be most effective. Place your towers where they will cover multiple spans of road to maximize efficiency. Upgrading towers is pricey, but often more cost effective than placing multiple towers, particularly on later waves with more powerful enemies. Finally, it is a good idea to place foundations to build your turrets upon. Foundations are not necessary, but they provide boosts to the performance of any turrets placed on them, essentially serving as a cheaper upgrade.
Upon the completion of each mission in Corporate Wars, you can upgrade your base. Base upgrades unlock new turrets that can be built to bolster your defenses. It is best to buy new buildings immediately after they become available to diversify your tower construction options and prepare for the next mission.
Corporate Wars may not be the most unique tower defense game, but at least it has a storyline to give players a sense of purpose. If you are a hardcore tower defense fan, you will enjoy Corporate Wars, but if you only play the genre casually, then the game may not capture your interest.
