Create Your Own Tower Defence Instructions

In Create Your Own Tower Defence, you only need your mouse's left click button to get going...and of course, you should also get your creative juices flowing to make sure that the tower defense game you create isn't cheesy or as difficult as hell to win. For creating the path for the creep waves to run through, creating and editing towers, tweaking enemies, laying way points, you only need your mouse's left click for that.

Create Your Own Tower Defence Walkthrough

Well, the game's name says it all - in Create Your Own Tower Defence, you are NOT just a player...you are the creator, the game master as well. And when I say game creator, I mean it. That means you need to start from scratch!

The first thing you need to deal with in Create Your Own Tower Defence is the background. The background - that's where the path where the creeps will cross, the grass area where you can plant your towers, etc. all fall in. You will see a pre made path once you enter the game, BUT of course, since you are the game master, you can change it to your heart's delight. Want to make the maze more complicated? Want to make a simpler once? Want a background that has a lot of obstacles...giving the player a harder time thinking about where to plant his towers? It's all up to you.

The next thing you need to do is deal with the way points in the path editor. Just in case you are not aware, way points are the sections in the map or path where the creep waves change direction. For average sized paths, about 10 will be enough. But in case you want a maze or path that is longer and bigger, you can always adjust the number of way points (in accordance of course to the maze you created in the Background section). The maximum amount of way points you can have in Create Your Own Tower Defence is 15.

Next stop, you need to create the towers that the players will plant in the background. There are two types of towers to choose from in this tower defense game - the arrow tower and the fire tower. They can, HOWEVER, be edited to how you want them to function. You need to deal with the graphics first - this, I think, relies on pure taste. After that, you get to the part where you edit the name of the tower, what it shoots out (acid, fire, arrow, bomb, etc.), the range of the missile, how fast it travels, and those are just to name a few.

Now that you are done with the towers, it's time to move on to the enemies! You can have up to 18 different enemies - some are flying, others are just normal creeps to be stomped on, well, since this is about creating your own tower defense game, it all boils down to your choice. How you want them to look, their HP, how fast they travel...again, make sure that the tower defense game you come up with is NOT cheesy or as difficult as hell.

Keep it fun and action packed...BUT simple - if you think you can be the next BIG name in flash and tower defense games, then give Create Your Own Tower Defence is something you need to take a look at. Who knows? Your tower defense game may make it to the BIG leagues.
