Pixelshocks' Tower Defence Walkthrough

Pixelshocks' Tower Defence is probably one of the original online tower defense games - but that doesn't mean it's not worth playing. If you're new to tower defense games, this should be one of the first ones you play - there are fifty waves of enemies, you're given twenty lives to protect, and you only have six different towers to choose from. Besides that, there's only one map to choose from, so this is a great tower defense game for beginners.

Pixelshocks' Tower Defence doesn't really provide a challenge until later waves, and if you've established a good defence, you won't even have to worry about later waves. Your job, though, is to protect the twenty lives you've been given. Each time an enemy makes it through the map you lose one. With six different towers available (all accessible through 1-6 keys as a hotkey menu), you're going to need each type to get rid of some enemy creeps that have special abilities.

For instance, there are going to be some waves consisting of flying enemies. Most towers you'll have attack ground units only, so if there's a wave with just flying enemies, you're in trouble. As long as you balance out what towers you build, such as towers that slow down and stun enemies, you'll get far in Pixelshocks' Tower Defence. But, if you don't, you'll end up losing in a single round due to something that could have been easily avoided.

In between rounds you'll have more time to upgrade and build new towers. Or, if you don't want any time between rounds, you can hasten the game by clicking on the "next wave" button - but don't click on it too much; you may end up getting more than your bargain for.
