Villainous Walkthrough

Villainous is a unique take on the tower defense game genre that puts you in the role of the attacker rather than the defender. Villainous features awesome visuals, great music and sound effects, game saving, achievements, and entertaining gameplay.

Unlike most tower defense games that put you in the role of the defender, your objective in Villainous is to pillage and destroy towns. In order to do this, you will have to raise armies and cast spells to lay waste to your adversaries. You will most likely fail in your first siege attempts, but as your gain more infamy in battle, you will be able to upgrade your armies and learn new spells to become a formidable combatant.

After selecting and naming a save slot, Villainous gives you the option of playing through the tutorial. Since this game is unlike most tower defense games (and is actually a tower attack game), I advise you to play though the tutorial to learn the basics. Some key points to remember from the tutorial are that only goblin raiders actually count towards the quota when they reach the town, that enemy towers become more powerful after each wave, and that your spells become more costly after each use in a single siege.

After each siege, you will be rewarded with infamy, which is the currency used to upgrade your forces in this strategy game. A successful siege rewards more infamy, and if you manage to earn a gold medal in a siege, you will be greatly rewarded! Make sure to see which upgrades you can buy after each battle by clicking the "Castle" button. I advise increasing the number of units you can field as soon as possible. Increasing the health of your goblin raiders and unlocking new monster types is also a good investment in this strategy game.

If you are a fan of tower defense games and ever wondered what it was like to play as the attacker, then Villainous is just the game for you! If you think that you have the strategic skills to successfully command sieges, then loot and plunder await in Villainous!
